We made some Resurrection Buns (click to see recipe) today. They are easy and oh so delicious. You wrap the dough around a big marshmallow and then coat it with butter, sugar and cinnamon. Once baked the inside is hollow like the tomb of the Risen Christ. I take no credit for the recipe. I am happy to glean good things from other bloggers and I got it the recipe from a post on Holy Experience.
If you have not visited her site before she writes wonderfully about her loves: The Lord, her family, and their life on the farm.
Of course, being the Easter season I have been pondering more about how "God so loved the world" and the empty tomb.
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith,
who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Consider Him
who endured such opposition from sinful man,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
Hebrews 12: 2, 3
And in getting to the heart of the matter as to the wonder of Good Friday, I also give credit to Parisienne Farmgirl and the meaningfilled video on the fulfillment of Good Friday that I post here:
AMEN!
AMEN!

Hi Jenny, I have heard of those resurrection buns but have never tried them. They look delicious. I also really like hot cross buns, but I guess since it's already the day before Easter here, I won't have any this year! I wanted to wish you and your family a very happy and joyous Easter!
Bonjour Jenny,
I've never heard of Resurrection Bread, sounds delicious. One of my favorites verses as well, so important to not grow weary and lose heart.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Easter weekend§

Hello dear Jennifer...thank you for the Easter greetings. I did want to try Hot Cross buns but seeing as this was a very simple recipe, with it's own sweet message, we tried this one instead. Yummy indeed. If I had a hot cross bun I would offer you one this Friday for sure.
Mimi! I am so happy you visited. Yes, not growing weary or losing heart is a part of the verse that calls to me. Thank you for the heartfelt greetings.
