Frenchy is having another giveaway and party...

I have posted a link on her blog about our last day in Paris (back in June of '08).  I do have to confess that I am seriously nostalgic about this lovely trip.  Here's hoping we will be able to travel abroad again.  Frenchy's blog is choc-full of good crafty ideas and her love of homemaking, family, and her French roots is evident.  I hope to be back to blogging soon.  This summer has had a few unexpected challenges/turns but we are all thankfully doing fine and simply getting busy as school comes on.  Happy summer to my dear bloggy buddies and I do get encouraged reading y'all's posts and thoughts.  Keep them coming.

Hi Jenny!
So glad to read that you're all doing fine. Thanks so much for your comment on my intruder post and commiserating with me. It scared me to pieces - and now the what if's have been really scaring me.
Oh! I kept meaning to tell you that I read your comment on Corey's blog about where your family comes from and I read that you had lived in San Antonio. I wanted to tell you that I went to San Antonio for the HemisFair in 1968. It was a whirlwind trip, maybe three days there and a couple in Dallas to visit old friends of my parents (a coach of the Dallas Cowboys). I'm guessing you weren't even born yet?!
Happy week to you!

Hello dear Sally...no I don't mind telling you that I was born in SA in 1972. I love SA. I know you are perfectly safe and I continue to pray for your peace and safety. Neighbors gotta stick together. Here in our parts, I mean you wanna be hospitable, but when you live down a lone country road and someone stragles your way...your first instinct is not to trust...let's say I have had my moments too. Take care dear lady.

JenniferK! Hello woman. Thank you for stopping by and for your comments too. Most of our dealings this summer have had to do with David's still ailing foot (finally on the mend!), a lot of things my mom is still dealing with, and the girl's schedule changes...nothing BAD, just flux. You take care too and I would love to see some pics of Paris summer. I miss it. Thanks Jennifer.

Ria! thank you for the kind note and stopping by. You are wonderfully encouraging and positive. I gonna hop on over and catch up on your blog. Hope your summer has been lovely!

Frenchy..I really appreciate your concern. Of course I love to share about your blog. You always keep good things coming on your blog. I feel I have been busy, but I just look on your blog and know that you have been superwoman for sure. YOur new home looks lovely. Wish we could be neighbors and I could hop over for a chat. Ah, well a blog is the next best thing. God bless you.

Hi Jenny! Thank you so much for your sweet comments and concern. Tremble tremble, yesterday was soooo scary! We're finding out about additional security measures tomorrow. I'm not going to want to leave the house and I'm not going to want to stay home alone in it - so we've got to figure something out!!! You asked about motion lights - the break ins have been in broad daylight, so we need motion detectors immediately and motion lights would be great too. ARGH! So angry I am scared out of my wits and have to think about this and spend money on defending myself from weasel-y people.
How are you?! What have you all been up to? Is your hubby all better? Look forward to hearing your news.
Happy almost weekend to you and your dear ones!
Sally
